I guess you could say that the people who live in The Village could be called “Village People”.  Or that the least educated person there could be called the “Village Idiot”.  But, The Village is just a name.  I guess you can tell that I have a off beat sense of humor.   On a more serious note, if you are looking for a nice home in the city and in the pines but you don’t want to deal with an HOA, this may be the place for you.  The Village has never had an HOA.  The Village is in the city of Prescott so you will find city water, city sewer, and city streets.  The homes are not as uniform as you would find in The Village’s next door neighbor Timberridge.  In Timberridge homes are limited to natural and artificial siding. The homes in The Village have natural wood, artificial wood, stucco, and brick siding.  Lot sizes here are a bit bigger than one would find closer to downtown Prescott.  Lot size average about 1/2 acre.

The Village is close to the Prescott National Forest.  When you exit The Village you can take Copper Basin Road east to downtown Prescott or south to Prescott National Forest.  There are several thousand acres of backcountry wilderness loaded with pine trees just a mile west of The Village.   A mile and a half further up Copper Basin, you will find the scenic Aspen Creek trail.  You will see plenty of wildlife in the mountains west of Timberridge like Deer and Javelina.  In the winter there can be several inches of snow up here when downtown is dry.  There are a couple of places to go sledding. Keep going on Copper Basin Road, the road gets rough but in 10 miles you end up in Skull Valley.

The Village has a mix of residents with some families and some retired residents.
